Re-think Cyber bullying

ReThink

14:40.7 Cyberbullying is the transmission of any electronic textual, visual, written, or oral communication with the malicious and willful intent to coerce, abuse, torment, or intimidate a person under the age of eighteen.

Cyberbullying is a real thing that we hear about in our schools on a daily basis. The ReThink App was created to help teens and young adults to rethink the offensive text they are about to send. When the app detects trigger/negative words then a message will appear on the users phone, allowing the user to ReThink their message.

This app allows the user to have the chance to take a minute and ReThink the decision to send an offensive message. The user will have the choice to select "Clear" to erase the current message or select Ok which will then send the message that was composed.

This app is not a 100% cure for Cyberbullying, but this could help prevent offensive messages from being sent out. The app was invented by a 16 year old student who saw the effects of Cyberbullying personally, and wanted to find a way to help prevent this in the future. This app is FREE! A study was done regarding the app and showed that 93% of 300 students actually took the time to ReThink the offensive messages they were about to send.

Below are links that explain how this app works. Let’s ReThink and stop Cyberbullying.
