As of today, April 15, Governor John Bel Edwards has officially closed school buildings for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. In accordance with that order, our students will not be returning to our classrooms this year.
While we are disappointed that we will not return, we know this decision was made with the safety of all stakeholders in mind.
This closure will now lead to our staff working through details of how to continue to enhance opportunities for virtual learning and how to wrap up this school year. While our Curriculum staff has been planning for several scenarios, details still need to be finalized before we can share information with families. We know that many of you have questions and want to know how this will affect different aspects of your child's education. We can assure you that we are working quickly and diligently to finalize details and to get that information to you. We really appreciate your patience through this, as this is something we're all experiencing together for the very first time.
Please stay tuned to our website and social media pages as we will be frequently sharing information when details are finalized. If you have any questions or specific concerns, please send an email to email@example.com, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
