W.W. Lewis Middle School planning annual run to benefit Texas Children’s Hospital
Students at W.W. Lewis Middle School are planning the third annual Rebel Run 5K to benefit the Texas Children’s Hospital Cancer Center. The idea came from Ms. Diana Fultz’s sixth grade class two years ago, and since then, the students have donated 60 American Girl Dolls Without Hair and approximately $7,500 to the hospital. Last year over 300 runners participated, and the students are hoping for even more this year. Registration is $15 and can be completed at www.active.com. Calcasieu Parish School Board students can run for $10 using the discount code REBEL2019. Anyone interested in buying a t-shirt must register before September 13th.
