‘Don’t Be a Monster’ assemblies returning to CPSB middle schools

The Calcasieu Parish School Board is once again partnering with The Lost Hollows for a campaign that brings anti-bullying assemblies to Calcasieu Parish School Board middle schools. In conjunction with Bullying Prevention Month, the ‘Don’t be a Monster’ assemblies aim to teach students how to identify and take a stand against bullying. This year presenters will focus being an upstander instead of a bystander and how to differentiate between mean, rude and bullying behaviors. Students will learn how to foster a respectful school community and practice random acts of kindness. The assemblies got underway this week and will continue throughout the month of October.
